About Akshay Gupta

With over 14 years of experience in the smartphone industry, I am a seasoned business leader and a product and media strategy expert. I have an MBA in Marketing and a B. Tech in Electronics and Communication, which enable me to combine technical knowledge and marketing skills to create and execute impactful product strategies. As the Business Head of Flagship and Luxury Smartphones at Samsung India, I am responsible for the growth and performance of the flagship smartphone category, including the S Series, the FE Series, and the Foldables Series. I have successfully launched and marketed several products that have achieved record-breaking sales, awards, and recognition, such as the S22 Series X Vogue Partnership and the Galaxy Creator's Lounge Program. I have also unlocked new growth opportunities by increasing the contribution from Tier 2 and below cities and by making foldable smartphones mainstream. My mission is to deliver meaningful products and impactful campaigns that put consumers at the center and enhance their experience.
