Background
About Akshaya Mohan
Founder and Chief Editor of LitKanmani. I created LitKanmani based on my experiences as a reader. We publish Young Adult fiction for contemporary South Asian and global audiences. I first began editing in 2013, and I have since worked in the literary and publishing industries alongside a variety of professionals such as publishers, researchers, writers, and others in related fields. I have been around books since I can remember, which is probably why my career has been all about them too. In some senses, I never outgrew the books I first read, and I remain fascinated by the literature created for younger readers.
