About Akvile M.

I have been immersed in the expedition cruise world since 2014, when I first stepped aboard a ship in the Russian Far East and it completely changed the course of my life. Since then, I have dedicated my career to helping others understand the power of expedition travel and how to sell it with confidence and purpose. As CEO and Co-Founder of the Expedition Cruise Network (ECN), I work at the intersection of trade, operators, and destinations. We exist to support travel advisors in navigating the complexity of expedition cruising: through education, access, community, and collaboration. From Antarctica to the Amazon, Arctic to Raja Ampat, I help connect the dots between those creating unforgettable journeys and those selling them.Through ECN’s events, training academy, and growing community of members, I champion a more connected, informed, and inspired expedition cruise sector. I am particularly passionate about amplifying local voices, surfacing new talent, and creating industry spaces where meaningful partnerships can flourish.I regularly speak at industry events, moderate panels, and contribute thought pieces on expedition cruise trends, trade relationships, and the future of the sector.
