About Al Arafat

Engineering is an art! By believing so, Mr. Arafat has been proudly working as a professional engineer in the field of geotechnical and construction engineering. In his early career, he worked in structural engineering capacities. This blended experience allows him to visualize the overall constructions with more confidence. He has extensive working experience in soil investigation, geotechnical and structural design, LRT, slope stability, linear structures, QA/QC engineering, and overall project management. He earned his Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from Lassonde School of Engineering of York University, Canada. His research during graduate studies was slope stability analysis of tailings dams using the finite element analysis method. He earned his B.Sc. degree in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology – the top-ranked university in the country. Mr. Arafat enjoys spending time with family and watching soccer and comedy skits.
