Reliability/Safety engineer, performing risk/ hazard assessments, SIL, FMECA, RAM, RCA, analyses and solving system problems. Currently working over five years with the High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) team at FMC Technologies, as a reliability engineer, developing and ensuring the implementation of the HPHT program reliability and safety requirements. Also working as part of the High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) team to certify an IEC 61511 compliant SIL 3 capable system and IEC 61508 compliant SIL 3 capable components. Sucessfully obtained SIL 3 certification for 1" and 5" barrier valves by working with third party certification bodies TUV SUD and exida. Also have worked as a system Reliability/Safety engineer for NASA, performing safety, reliability risk assessments, and solving system problems on electrical data and instrumentation equipment. Highly competent working in teams or individually, developing and verifying safety and reliability requirements of data and instrumentation systems, throughout the hardware life-cycle. Strong ability for determining root cause of failures, assessing the reliability/risk and making recommendations for corrective actions. Excellent communication skills for presenting system issues to various levels of management or engineers of varying backgrounds.
