About Al Dabiri

I earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri with an emphasis on Higher Education. I am the managing copyeditor of the Journal of Comparative and International Higher Education (JCIHE). My background in scholarly writing, grant proposal development, and peer-reviewed publication supports my contributions to the academic field, particularly in STEM education leadership and policy analysis. My research focuses on broadening participation in STEM programs within higher education institutions, where I apply expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and qualitative research methodologies. At the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU), I instruct and mentor both undergraduate and graduate students, fostering critical thinking, scholarly excellence, and leadership. As an expatriate Iranian theatre scholar/artist, I conduct critical performance ethnography, using theatre as a medium to bring meaningful insights and drive change within academic and community settings. Additionally, my experience in graduate student advising and interdisciplinary collaboration equips me to guide students effectively in their academic journeys, supporting their development as future leaders and scholars.
