About Al Freeman

With over 20 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and clinical research, I have led clinical operations across CRO and sponsor settings. I combine strategic oversight with hands-on delivery to ensure the success of clinical trials. I thrive in environments where ideas and innovation are welcomed and open conversations are encouraged. Currently, I manage Clinical Operations for ANZ at HiRO, where I oversee CRAs on oncology and medical device trials. My focus is on building a strong, supported, high performing team that is built on a foundation of trust. Previously, I served as Director and APAC Country Head for Full-Service Strategic Accounts at Syneos Health. In this role, I was responsible for clinical operations across the Asia-Pacific region, with a span of control of around 70 employees. I led regional teams, built strong client partnerships with major international partners, and drove the success of large-scale, multi-country programs. I worked closely with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline operations, improve performance, and support change and growth.
