About Al Molinaro
I served 26 years for the Village of Maywood Fire Department starting as a probationary firefighter in 1985. My ranks through the years included firefighter/EMT, lieutenant and finally to captain (shift commander). Through most of my career I served as a union steward and bargaining committee member for our chapter. Doing so lead me to considered for and hired by a labor union as a representative in 2003. Later, in 2005, I was promoted to Division Director and placed on the executive board. During 2009 I was representing better than 25 different chapters. I was let go at the end of 2009 and hired by A law firm as a legal assistant based on the skills and experiences gained through my union advocacy. I was brought in to MAP to develop a means to determine and provide analysis to aid in bargaining.
