About Al Rubio

I was born in Whittier, CA in 1953 and have spent most of my life in SoCal with the exception of 3 years when I lived in Hawaii in the mid 70’s working as a deckhand at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. l attended school in Whittier including Rio Honda College and Cerritos College after my stint in Hawaii. I have been married to my beautiful Rita since 1989, and we have 2 adult children, daughter Erika and son Angel. In addition, we have 2 grandchildren, Anthony and Brooklyn, and many nieces and nephews. I was in the Jewelry business for over 20 years prior to being recruited by the Norm Reeves Supergroup in Temecula in where I continue in the Automotive field with DCH Auto Group/Lithia Motors, Inc. I started in the sales department as a salesperson and sales manager before accepting the position of Regional Human Resources Manager in 2003, and held that position until June of 2017. I am currently back in the sales department as the Regional VIP Purchase Program Manager helping to develop community relations while building goodwill for DCH Auto Group. My expertise is in customer service, employee relations, recruiting, managing teams, and helping team members grow their skills while making themselves more valuable to the team. I have conducted training on recruiting, interviewing, progressive discipline, employee relations, employee evaluations, and customer service along with many other employee related topics. I am well versed in the retail automotive business, general retail, marketing, branding, and merchandising. I am currently a member of the Rotary Club of Temecula and also serve as the Chairman of the Board of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, 1st Vice Chair for the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest County and 1st Vice Chairperson of the Board for Michelle’s Place Breast Cancer Resource Center. I believe in serving the community that has given me the opportunity to succeed and provide a great quality of life for my family.
