About Al Scott

I've been building stuff on the web since I was a teenager, but I first started getting paid for it in 2010. I spent 6 amazing years working for creative advertising agencies in a period of intense change for digital advertising, as we made the transition from Flash as the dominant technology towards HTML5 and JavaScript, and the modern web we know today.Advertising was a great place to learn the ropes of web development, as every project was a chance to start over and try something new, and aggressive deadlines meant that we had to learn fast. After my years of being in that world, though, I felt ready to take on a role that would have more opportunities to build something lasting.I made the jump to working as a platform engineer at YunoJuno, which at the time was barely 20 people. I was excited to not only help build their platform, but to see it grow and mature as the business did. Now, nearly 10 years later, it has been very gratifying to see how far the software has come from the earliest days, and it's exciting to imagine where else it will go in the years to come.
