About Ala Alodeh

As an insurance specialist at the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) since 2018, I leverage my 20+ years of expertise in the governmental insurance sector to ensure the soundness and stability of the insurance market in Qatar. I am certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute in London (CII) and have a strong background in compliance, risk management, and claims analysis. Some of my key responsibilities and achievements at QCB include conducting onsite inspections and offsite monitoring of insurance activities, licensing new insurance products and companies, developing and implementing risk management strategies, and analyzing claims data. I also work on capacity-building projects related to compulsory motor insurance, solvency, anti-money laundering, and other topics. I have participated in meetings of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and delivered training for staff and supervisors. My goal is to contribute to the development and innovation of the insurance industry in Qatar and the region, and to pursue continuous learning and improvement in this dynamic field.
