About Ala Hamdan

A filmmaker, visual storyteller and photographer. Co-founder of (At Films) production company. I graduated from New York Film Academy in Florence and New York City afterwards.I have won several awards for my photos, short films and PSAs. I am also a jury member in several film festivals such as Istanbul Tourism Film Festival, and Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. Some of my film work was viewed more than 5 Million times on social media. I am a visual storyteller; I tell stories that become the voice of the voiceless. My work focuses on uplifting and humanitarian causes such as child labour, domestic violence, women rights.ect. I present a TV show titled Cinerama. It gives basic tools for people interested in filmmaking. I am one of the few Arab Women presenting a specialized TV show on filmmaking. I spoke about my experience on several stages, and one was TEDx. I am an active member in the humanitarian field and worked on several projects in Jordan, Turkey and Niger with refugees and the less fortunate. Through my lens and blogs, I document my experiences and encounters. I am a co-creator and photographer of a book titled Muslims of the World, telling inspiring stories from Muslims around the globe. The book got on the best-selling list on Amazon 2018. I am also a brand ambassador of Royal Jordanian Airlines.
