Currently, I am working at Zewail City under the supervision of the Dean of Academic Affairs, where my job is mainly focused on Faculty Hiring. Our mission in Faculty recruitment strongly emphasis on the careful selection and international excellence of the Faculty. They are chosen based on their research track record, publications in high impact journals, amount of extramural funds secured and international collaborations. I have worked with all Academic Heads on Faculty hiring, and we managed to attract a diverse, world-class calibers of Faculty members who bring their teaching and research capabilities and international experience to the City’s University and Research Centers.Highly contributed in the hiring and recruitment of Zewail City Faculty body; I have formulated “Zewail City Terms of Reference” for Full-time Faculty Hiring and Selection to facilitate the generation of a robust and qualified pool of job applicants, and I have formulated “Zewail City Terms of Reference” for Adjunct Faculty Hiring and Teaching Assistants Hiring as well, with an accurate evaluation criterion and precise grading system to ensure high transparency in academicians final selection and recruitment. My current position and previous experience, allowed me to be an expert in Faculty and Academicians Recruitment, Faculty and Academicians evaluation and assessment, Start-up HR Infrastructure, Employee Retention, Manpower Planning, Formulation of Faculty Policies & Procedures, Termination & Exit Interviews, Succession Planning, Academic affairs, Student affairs and Strategic planning.Working directly with the Executive President, the Vice Chair and the Deans of Zewail City over the past years; made me learn how to plan, to manage and to assess diversity of issues.In addition, my postgraduate studies helped me to learn specialist knowledge, business best practice, transferable skills like project management, teamwork, advanced research skills, leadership, and it highly contributed in remodeling and exhibiting my capacity for critical thinking and analysis.
