About Alaa Altef

Alaa graduated as an English teacher in Syria on 2004 then, studied Translation. He moved to Dubai on 2005 and worked in the Translation field. Afterward, he moved to head the operations in an electronics trading FZ Company. As Alaa always wanted to be involved in the Trade, Logistics, & Transport field; on 2007 he joined Dubai Trade (Trade & Logistics online portal of Dubai) as a Customer care representative. Afterward, he moved to Training Department. Since then, Alaa has been instrumental in training over companies and individuals in various e-Services ranging from port & Transport operations to customs cargo clearance. When Dubai Trade created its vocational training program CTLP on trade & logistics along with CILT, Alaa was responsible for the material development, training and successful graduation of over students over 4 years. He also contributed to developing and delivering the Certified Customs Broker course (CCB), which targets to educate and spread knowledge on Customs processes and procedures in the Dubai & the region. Alaa is the Young Professionals (YP) MENA region ambassador of The Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CILT) since 2014. He was awarded in the CILT international convention June 2014 for his project submission. He is working on different workshops on making logistics & transport more feasible and smooth in the MENA region.
