About Alaa Maali

A highly skilled, knowledgeable, and passionate Civil and Environmental Engineer with a strong record of sound and safe construction works in several projects with more than seven years of field practical experience. A distinguished multitasker with exceptional skills in functioning well in a high-pressure work environment. A certified PMP® by the Project Management Institute (PMI) with an “Above-Target” score, knowledgeable in project management aspects from pre-initiation to final handing over using both predictive and agile methodologies. Moreover, I have three years of teaching and research experience in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). I achieved my master's degree in civil engineering with excellence (First Class Hornor), specializing in the rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures -GPA 4.0/4.0. The research thesis was related to retrofitting concrete structures using Fiber Reinforced polymers “FRPs.” In addition, I am an accredited professional by USGBC and GBCI for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design: Building Design and Construction (LEED AP® BD+C) with a passion towards sustainability, green buildings, and environmentally friendly materials.
