About Alaide Bayma

With over 25 years of experience in the Brazilian and international aeronautical market, I have had incredible opportunities to develop my skills. My connection with the product was born in my activity in the production process, where I could observe the skills of all involved in producing an aeronautical product. Proud to be the first woman engineer in Embraer's certification, where I developed the ability to negotiate with Embraer and national and international civil aviation authorities, raising awareness in each negotiation the commitment and the importance of compliance demonstration with design safety requirements to assure the robust design and the aircraft airworthiness. The constant concern in protecting aircraft occupants, in design certification, awakened in me a passion for research involving aircraft design with human interface. As a human factor researcher at the University of São Paulo, I was invited to participate in the engineering specialization program for teaching classes and offering lectures to engineers, designers, operator’s machines, and technicians about human reliability analysis and safety culture. In conducting research and work I use my communication skills, teamwork, influencing people, enthusiasm, and motivation. I am very proud to have presented my projects and research in the Embraer Seminary of Innovation and Technology and international conferences such as IATA - International Air Transport Association, ESREL 2017/2019 - European Safety and Reliability, ICAS 2018 - International Council of Aeronautical Science.
