About Alain Baraka

Modelling: Working in the modeling industry for a couple years, I was able to learn and apply interpersonal skills that allow me to connect with people all over the world. I have worked both commercial and international, tackling the landscape of editorial, commercial and runways all over Canada, New York, and Milan. The goal to becoming a model for me was to gain the skills and networks I need to further my goals of becoming a fashion designer. Style advisor/Ambassador-Harry Rosen- Building relationships with my customers and creating repeat clientele. ​Demonstrating an interest in fashion, menswear, and luxury. ​- Educating clients on some of the designer and luxury brands we offer in order to suggest what works for their specific needs. ​Participating in Merchandising activities and store maintenance. ​- Utilizing the resources provided to conduct new business driving measures and following up with my existing clientele on all aspects of their current needs (i.e, alterations, fittings, dedicated appointments, etc.) ​- Preparing for each appointment and client meeting by strategizing what merchandise to present and creating the opportunity for add-on sales- Weekly Meetings with buyers to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each brand I’m in charge of, and finding proper solutions to maintain sales for those brands so we can meet weekly and yearly goals. Design Becoming a fashion designer as well as a Creative Director is a goal I hold very close to me. Studying fashion design during the pandemic at Parson’s provided me with enough confidence and understanding of both the creative and business aspect of running a fashion business. Since then, I have worked on a few collections I have yet to bring to life, curated a business plan for my brand, worked with a mentor and an incredible designer to bring to life a full collection that was showcased in Milan for FW 24, and I am constantly working close to the brand to further the business.
