About Alain Camous

Throughout the course of my professional career, I’ve consistently been rewarded with expanded levels of responsibility due to my track record of leadership and accountability. As you review my profile, you might note that I am currently in education. However, as I look to the future, I am interested in pivoting to a career in sales. In order to prepare me for this transition, I have obtained my MBA with a specialization in International Business from Florida International University. I have also obtained my Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt accreditation. Please allow me to expand on some accomplishments below. Previously as a Math Teacher at Westpine Middle School, I go above and beyond my duties in the classroom. I have always been tremendously tech-savvy and utilized those capabilities to secure a $1.6M grant from Verizon to improve technology in the schools. I achieved this by creating a 7-minute video that was entered into the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools Grant Competition. I also directed a 2-week training course that taught educators and staff how to integrate technology into daily classroom activities. During my tenure at Abercrombie & Fitch, I garnered much more responsibility than the average sales associate. I directed 60 team members in daily operations to ensure an exemplary experience for all customers. Through my leadership and coaching, I was able to reduce turnover by 30%. In addition, I achieved 108% of the annual quota for crucial metrics such as LY Projections, Sales, and Conversions. While I was with Herff Jones, I trained and mentored more than 30 sales representatives in strategies and customer service standards. Focused on selling class rings, yearbooks, and graduation products, I was recognized as the #1 Sales Representative for six consecutive graduation seasons. I’d also like to briefly mention that I am bi-lingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. I feel that this gives me an expanded capability of communicating with customers, vendors, and business partners in professional settings.
