About Alain Purney

Branding & Design Director | Creative Enthusiast I'm Alain Purney, also known as Little-Al, a French Canadian with a deep passion for creativity. I earned my Graphic Design diploma from La Cité Collégiale in April 2012 and began my professional journey at SEO TWIST. After its acquisition by Creative TRND in 2020, I advanced to the role of Branding and Design Director, where I continue to push the boundaries of design. Outside of my professional work, I'm deeply involved in several creative hobbies. Since 2003, I've been painting miniatures, starting with models from the Lord of the Rings range by Games Workshop and expanding into Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and Dungeon & Dragons. My skills in this area have earned me numerous awards, and in 2017, I co-founded the Ottawa Kapital Gaming Garrison, a community dedicated to tabletop wargaming. In 2016, I embraced cosplay as a way to bring characters from anime, video games, and movies to life. My dedication led me to achieve master-level status in the ICG Masquerade competitions, and I currently serve as the Masquerade Coordinator for Ottawa Comiccon and Anime Ottawa. Photography is another passion that drives me. I love capturing the beauty of landscapes and wildlife, freezing moments in time that tell a story.
