About Alaina Carpenter

I am a recent graduate of Kent State University at Tuscarawas. In May 2017, I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with distinction, focusing on management. I was also inducted to Beta Gamma Sigma, a business honor society during this time period. I am currently working towards a Master of Business Administration degree with Walsh University, focusing on marketing. I started my college career while still attending high school as a junior by joining the post-secondary program in 2012. During my high school years, I was a member of the marching band. This was an excellent way to gain teamwork and problem solving skills. I was also a section leader, which taught me how to be an effective leader. In high school, I also joined the National Honor Society, where I did volunteer work and learned valuable skills. I graduated from Indian Valley High School in 2014 with distinction. While attending school, I worked twice as a summer page for the Tuscarawas County Public Library. This taught me great organizational skills, as well as people skills. For three years after that, I was employed at Kohl's, where I strengthened my customer service skills and learned to deal with difficult situations. At Kohl's, I also developed better time management skills and how to self-manage. Though I am able to work by myself and be self-motivated to get the job done, I am easily able to work in a team as well. Since working at Kohl's, I have been employed at State Farm, where I have achieved great sales and team experience.
