About Alan Alfar

Technical Lead Consultant/Analyst with 15 years of experience in Consultancy, Technology, Systems Implementation, Support, and Systems Analysis. Throughout my experience, I have worked on integrated solutions for major clients around Australia and the Middle East. On the other hand, I have worked directly with different vendors from all around the world. My current role is focused Financial Crime; where my role is primarily in projects and services/service delivery and leading a team to achieve the deliverables to the client. On daily basis, I work closely with clients and analyse the requirements from technical perspective to assess the feasibility and benefits of the requirements. Prior to Financial Crime, my area of expertise was around Mobile Payments as a Systems Analyst; where my role was to analyse, administer, and support the Token Service Provider (TSP) System for building and establishing the Mobile Payments solution at eftpos Payments Australia; Australia's most widely used cards system organisation. My everyday at work involves configuration, documentation, support, and working on operational readiness for the eftpos Mobile Platform. Colleagues know me as a highly motivated and driven perfectionist who can always be trusted to come up with a new approach. But I know that business comes first, and I always invest time in understanding the business and the audience before suggesting ideas. I can (and often do) work well alone, but I’m at my best collaborating with others. My educational achievemtns consist of- ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management - Exin (2014)- Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Management - University of the West of England, Bristol (2010)- Bachelors of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Enginerring - University of Jordan (2008).
