As an MSc and CIMA qualified Head of Finance / Finance Director, I am an expert in financial troubleshooting, business recovery that delivers positive outcomes in challenging situations, and creating robust financial management capability in support of organisational and financial strategies. My key strengths encompass business turnaround, re-engineering business-critical financial processes, leveraging existing systems to improve the company performance, and leading / developing high-performing Finance teams. My standout successes include: successfully overseeing a factory closure, paying all suppliers, managing staff redundancies and facilitating all operations moving overseas; leading a project to manage a department turnaround and delivering an RICS client fund accounting standards audit; and setting up a Finance function in 3 months with a comprehensive management pack post a Plc client acquiring a £20M turnover factory. In my current role as Head of Group Finance / FD, I joined the business when it required a significant intervention to reverse a potentially critical decline. In this role. I manage a Finance team of 8 and undertook a root and branch system and process design, development and implementation to catalyse a productive business change across the organisation that successfully turned-around the fortunes of the business. As can be seen, I am an experienced strategic financial leader, troubleshooter and business turnaround specialist with a solid professional and academic background and a dedication to success.
