Alan Bernick holds a variety of oversight responsibilities, including the management of Andersen's legal policies and affairs and oversight of the company's internal audit, real estate services and compliance. Mr. Bernick completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business and subsequently earned his CPA certificate (inactive). He earned his law degree at the same institution. Accepting a position as a corporate and tax attorney with the law firm of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly (now Fox Rothschild) in 1983, he achieved partner status in the early 1990s. Within the business sphere, Mr. Bernick assisted a wide array of clients in diverse transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financings. He also assisted clients in tax planning, compliance and litigation. Alan Bernick is a longstanding member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Minnesota Society of CPAs and chaired the taxation sections' governing councils for both organizations.
