About Alan Blomgren

My name is Alan Blomgren and I bring a variety of technical and management skills from the IT and Renewable Energy industries, as well as a strong work ethic, loyalty, and an optimistic outlook on life and people to all that I do. Most recently, I started a business to develop mobile generators powered by solar and wind, for clients interested in clean, renewable energy sources. This experience made use of the variety of skills I had built up in my years in the corporate sector and working my way through college. My clients included customers looking to get out of noisy, wasteful energy sources, as well as educators looking for clean, consistent power to conduct field studies in remote locations. During my experience in the IT industry for over 15 years, I held a series of progressively broad roles at Dell including Engineering Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing Management. I also spent two years managing a global team in Shanghai, China. Throughout my college years I worked in hardware stores and as a handyman, I have always enjoyed fixing things, from simple mechanical devices to large complex process problems.
