Board experience spans real estate, financial services, service businesses, and lodging firms, in public and private settings. Served as Chair and/or Member on Audit Committees and held Lead Director, Special Committee, Compensation, and Nom/Gov roles. Experience includes pre-IPO through post-IPO phases, including mentoring CFOs and CEOs. Directed the turnaround and sale of a multibillion-dollar financial services firm amid intense regulatory oversight. Resolved complex litigation and extracted value from substantial investments in private equity-backed businesses, complex real estate structures, and joint ventures. Implemented strategic, operational, and financial restructuring with a group of middle-market, private equity-backed service businesses. Revitalized and refocused a closely held marketing services and outsourced sales services firm and positioned it for sale. Served the majority of audit career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), moving quickly through the ranks to partnership in the Audit practice, with exposure to a broad range of industries. Gained experience in SEC compliance, IPOs, and M&A, with large and middle-market clients. Left the firm as a Managing Partner to join MBL Life as CEO.
