About Alan Boyle

I am an experienced Social Care Worker with homeless and youth services. I have worked in emergency homeless services as well as resettlement and long term housing services. I have worked as a member of Housing Support, providing tenancy sustainment for clients who are in a long-term tenancy as well as clients who are in transitional accommodation who require settlement services to aid them to move into long term accommodation. I have enabled people to live as independently as possible and assisted in the development of homeless and housing services while also raising awareness in the community. I have built professional relationships and worked effectively with a wide range of agencies and professionals in the community in all sectors. This includes arranging and delivering presentations. I have advocated on behalf of clients to housing providers in all sectors, provided support / case management and individual key-working. As well as lone working with individuals and families within the community, including people’s homes and/or other remote locations. I have been a part of a team responsible for the implementation of housing management procedures in relation to rent, up keep of property, license and tenancy agreements and landlord’s responsibilities. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, a Master of Arts - MA in Sociology and a Certificate in Mental Health in the Community, all from University College Cork.
