I have 14 years’ experience as a Project Manager with a proven track record of helping software development teams to consistently and predictably deliver what they committed to on time and on budget through the disciplined application of Agile methods. For the last 7 years I led projects with budgets in excess of £250K and teams of up to 22. I have strong situational leadership, planning, facilitation, mentoring, Agile coaching, influencing, presentation, servant leadership, customer liaison, stakeholder management and analytical skills with an excellent attention to detail. I am committed to continuous improvement and delivering high quality products for customers. I am experienced in Scrum, Kanban and AUP, with an understanding of the major Agile scaling frameworks. I have been a Certified Scrum Master since 2013 and an Advanced Certified Scrum Master since 2018. I am experienced in Waterfall project management and trained in PRINCE2. Key Areas of Expertise (with years of experience) • Agile project management (11) • Scrum (7) • Kanban (5) • Agile coaching (4) • Mentoring (1) • Waterfall project management (14) Key Achievements • Led the development and release of a Janes (the defence publisher) online subscription Data Analytics product which was delivered on budget and ahead of schedule and resulted in a significant increase in sales. • Generated an annual cost saving in excess of £15K by leading the migration of all Janes’ software development projects from Rally to Azure DevOps. • Led the migration of all Janes’ online subscription products to AWS. • Coached a software development team of 5 based in Janes’/IHS Markit’s office in India remotely which resulted in a significant increase in the team’s Agile maturity. • Led the development and roll out of a new Identity and Access Management system. This allowed customers to access all the online products they subscribed to from all the companies IHS acquired with a single sign on. • Proposed inviting a Project Manager working on IHS’s global SAP ERP implementation to attend IHS EMEA Software Development PMO meetings. This allowed him to learn from the PMO’s Agile project management experience and apply what he learned to a Service Now implementation for IHS’s global HR operations. It also allowed the PMO to learn more about change management. • Twice winner of IHS Circle of Excellence Award. I recently started a new role so I am not looking for new opportunities.
