About Alan Carson

Profile: Kit Carson is self-motivated and enjoys using his experience in challenging posts within the avionic, systems and software engineering management field. He is experienced on fast-paced international projects where interaction with people is of highest importance. Carson enjoys the challenge of being involved in organisational development and change: at the forefront – giving presentations and representing decisions to customers. Background: Kit Carson was an engineer within the Royal Air Force for twenty-one years. He joined as a mechanic in 1979, was selected in 1986 to attend the Royal Air Force College Cranwell and the Royal Naval Engineering College Manadon, graduating as an Engineering Officer. He has served in the UK and in Germany in a wide range of engineering posts. After leaving the military in April he worked initially within the civilian software engineering sector, before returning to Military Avionic management in Munich, Germany in 2001. In April 2008, he took up a post at ESG GmbH as the project manager responsible for the Tornado aircraft systems engineering and for business development. In 2014 he was awarded the role of key account manager for the whole department and in 2016 took over the position of Head of Combat Air Systems. Following a move to the ESG GmbH Strategic Business Development team, as Business Director for aerospace campaigns, Carson became a Vice President and led the Fixed-Wing Division. ESG GmbH was acquired by HENSOLDT AG in April of 2024, and Carson currently fulfills the role of Business Coordinator for the newly formed HENSOLDT Division Multi-Domain Solutions. With effect from 1st May 2025, Carson Became a Managing Director (Geschaftsführer) of the ESG GmbH
