About Alan Cheung

Alan's skills and expertise are grounded in science and technology and highly motivated to apply his knowledge in architecture, design at all scales, and collaborative projects. He has developed a design and technical foundation through his education at the University of Calgary and BCIT, and has gained valuable experience building on his technical skills while developing an attention to aesthetics and design. This lends a valuable diverse skillset to his work in architecture and other similarly design-oriented industries. Alan's experience includes being a project manager for a small renovation company (Port Moody, BC), a building science technologist for a medium-sized building envelope consulting firm (Richmond, BC), technologist for small multidisciplinary architecture firms and public artists (Vancouver, BC). In addition to his experience, he is building upon his interests in industrial design through smaller design projects in consumer products and rapid prototyping technology. His current position at Aritzia makes use of all of his experience, interests, and skills in order to fulfill his duties at one of the most successful retailers in North America. Alan's goals include advancing his career in product design, sustainable architecture, detailed design development, industrial design, business planning, marketing, and branding.
