Thanks to the listening skills I learned my wife and I recently celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary. After 40 years in the Film and Television Industry, I recognised the critical value of effective Communication. I knew what worked to engage viewers through video but I didn't know why it worked. In 1994 I found out why. I learned how to connect with a persons subconscious mind and that changed my relationships and my life. Healthy relationships, whether professional or personal are essential if you want to enjoy a meaningful life. Think about it. What would your life be like without family, friends and business associates? How different would your business look if you could reduce staff turnover, reduce misunderstandings with clients and suppliers and effectively communicate your Company mission and values? I have found these communication skills invaluable throughout my life in both business and personal settings and it has deepened my relationships as a result. To provide caregivers around the world with a community where they can get emotional support from people who understand what they’re going through because they are in the same boat. No advice interruption or judgement is permitted. We share stories from other Survivors and Carers and learn how they dealt with issues. The community teaches Deep listening, a skill set that enable Carers to care for themselves and one another.
