About Alan Crawley

For over 30 years I developed business models for specific Fortune corporations, resulting in 7 digit sales and 8 digit mergers and acquisitions. I also developed tactics to gain adoption of technology within specific and highly targeted enterprises. Originally to develop initial corporate sales, such as marquee accounts for VC investment reasons; then progressing to 7 digit OEM licensing agreements, and finally to align 7 and 8 digit merger and acquisition interest. Originally a Field Engineer for Xerox, in 1982 I transitioned to sales, marketing, and eventually strategic business development in the new computer data protection industry in Silicon Valley. With both technical and sales orientations, I became suited to articulating technical as well as business rationale to form major business and technical alliances, negotiating the resulting license agreements, creating revenue and, in some cases, a path toward M&A. Examples of major relationships formed: Wells Fargo, Cisco, Fujitsu, EMC – Legato, Seagate, and Hewlett Packard. Seagate and EMC became eight digit M&A agreements. Developed the first SaaS model in 1996. Interested in consulting to develop specific alliances for a security startup.
