About Alan Dial

I lead strategic continuous improvement campaigns across multi-hospital portfolios in cycle and cost reduction strategies in Surgical and Emergency Services and Labor Management. I am a change agent with experience delivering service line results and managing diverse and geographically decentralized operations footprint in the continuous improvement disciplines of Lean and Six Sigma. Prior to my tenure in healthcare, I served over 20 years of distinguished civilian and military operations improvement and executive management with strong productivity and margin delivery. I have served across multiple operating environments including manufacturing, service, transactional and commercial operations with a core background in nuclear engineering and commercial power plant operations and management. I was an ISO Auditor and a Quality Manager for a $6B business as well as a Global Product Leader for a Gas Turbine product line with a portfolio presence in Hungary, India, Japan and a domestic Center of Excellence in Florida. Prior to my civilian career, I was in the US Navy as a Nuclear Power Plant Senior Operator and Master Trainer. I also hold an MBA with a specialization in Project Management and an M.S. in Quality Assurance from the School of Engineering Technology and Management at Southern Polytechnics State University in Marietta, GA. I have a vast experience as a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt across multiple industry segments.
