I am a chemist experienced in product development, quality control, and tech service specific to the textile industry (carpet, woven textiles, non-woven textiles, etc.). Additional experience in raw material and product sourcing/purchasing. Areas of specialization include the formulation of: fiber extrusion lubricants (staple and BCF) and oversprays, yarn and thread lubricants, processing aids (wetting agents, scours and detergents, defoamers, static control agents, dyeing auxiliaries, dye carriers, etc.) and finishes (fabric softeners, durable press resins, flurochemicals, flame retardants, etc.) Additional experience includes formulating laundry detergents (dry and liquid), car wash detergents (automatic and hand wash), after-market automotive care and detailing products, and all-purpose cleaners. Twenty five years of experience in the manufacturing of reacted chemistry, including mono- and di- esters of polyethylene glycol+fatty acids, phosphates, amides, etc. Six years experience in the toll manufacturing of reacted raw materials and other products for the personal care industry. More than thirty years of experience in laboratory and quality control management. Effective May 2013, I report directly to the CEO of the company. I have served on the academic advisory board for the chemical technology programs at a local technical college. I served as president of the board for the 2018-2019 school term.
