About Alan Hanley

I have over 20 years of experience in the telecom and IT industry. Starting as a field technician installing key-telephone and PABX systems, then branching into CTI then VoIP. In doing this I have collected a wide range of experience and knowledge with Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems. I have worked on a multitude of telephone and UC systems including Nortel, ShoreTel, Ericsson-LG and many more. I constantly like to push myself to learn new things, the brain is like any muscle, if you don't use it. you lose it. For 3 years I was solely focused on the ShoreTel IP-PBX where I was the Sales and Support Engineer providing national pre and post technical assistance to all our ShoreTel dealers. I am fully certified on the ShoreTel system as well as ECC 5.1 My previous products have included the iPECS-CM which is a large, enterprise grade PABX scaling from 1 to end points. It's a new product but having the capability to integrate with our existing IPECS-LIK should make it VERY competitive in the large scale enterprise market. It's powerful networking capabilities, flexible telephony features and intuitive management interface makes it a product for now and the future and something I'm very proud to be a part of. My new role in a new Canada is helping me push myself even further, sharing my VoIP and Network experience to the dealers, improving our customer support systems, as well as help build our dealer base and train them on the new Ericsson-LG iPECS product lineup. Our new OwnCloud service allows our dealers rapid, global access to software, manuals and other important data. Our new Joomla based website is in the pipeline and is coming along nicely. Our SIP testing platform has allowed a number of our dealers to grow more confident with the technology, as well as win quite a few great deals just by demonstrating the capabilities of VoIP. Now I'm exploring the strengths, weaknesses and benefits to cloud deployment by using the AWS EC2 platform. it's an exciting time to be working in IT and VoIP.
