About Alan Izquierdo Ramirez

The path that has led me here has been hard-fought and worth the effort. Good day, I am currently an engineering student with the hope of finding an internship opportunity before I graduate. As the Outreach Officer for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers chapter in my university and an active member of the Silver Wings organization, I have been granted an opportunity to improve my leadership and communication skills. This semester alone my Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers chapter has run a successful outreach event in collaboration with other organizations in the Prescott Regional SciTechFest, while also planning other outreach opportunities such as the the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) day. I hold belief that in order to succeed one must be hard working, knowledgeable, and empathetic. I strive to fulfill these beliefs everyday with my studies and my biweekly volunteering. I have the honor of studying Matlab, engineering economics, digital circuit, as well as a multitude of other subjects under proficient professors. At first glace people may mistake me as a person with a shy personality but in reality I would rather first listen to other people in order acquire a full grasp of the situation and prepare a win- win situation before uttering something while being misinformed.
