About Alan Linney

As a special education teacher with over a decade of experience, I am committed to providing high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. I hold a master's degree in special education and teaching, and I have developed expertise in instructional leadership, special education law, and curriculum development. I am currently working at Highline Public Schools, where I share the vision of creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students. In my role, I collaborate with general education teachers and other staff to co-teach and accommodate the curriculum, and I design and implement individualized education plans, safety and behavior plans, and data-driven interventions. I also served as the special education department chair, where I facilitated communication and coordination among the team. I enjoy working with a diverse and talented group of educators, and I am always eager to learn new skills and strategies to enhance my practice. I am looking to leverage my expertise in education as a instructional designer, curriculum designer, project manager, or leadership.
