About Alan McGuinness

I’m an entrepreneur, founder, and operator with a passion for building brands that perform commercially, culturally, and socially.Over the past decade, I’ve founded and scaled Underground Gym, a multi-site fitness brand known for its energy, community, and atmosphere; launched Padel Republic, a premium padel club concept bringing world-class facilities to the South of England; and serve as a Non-Executive Director and shareholder at Hippo Waste, a national waste management business. My focus is always the same: to grow businesses that combine strong commercial performance with great people, culture, and customer experience. I enjoy the challenge of strategy, scaling operations, developing leadership teams, and finding creative ways to stand out in competitive markets.I’m hands-on, forward-thinking, and never afraid to take a calculated risk. Whether it’s building a fitness brand, developing a new sports facility, or guiding a national business through growth, I bring energy, clarity, and an ability to get things done.If you’re interested in entrepreneurship, growing brands, or working together in fitness, sport, or sustainability, let’s connect.
