About Alan McLaughlin

I've worked in and around Active Directory for twenty years. The rise of Azure as a web based Active Directory was a very natural progression for me and I've spent quite a lot of time working in a hybrid exchange environment. I got into vbscript quite early in my career and often found it easier to manage AD from script tools I'd written than thru any GUI. Powershell was a god send for me, opening up that same approach to almost every Microsoft product out there today. I all but live in powershell today and consider it my go-to tool for most administrative work. From automating user account creation in AD from our payroll system to a grid view browser of all of our currently active remote app sessions with command and control functions built into a menu system from shadowing to terminating sessions. Powershell has been a playground I've enjoyed immensely.
