About Alan McWilliam
My main research themes are 1) the analysis of patient outcomes, primarily using voxel-based analysis techniques to best understand how the full, 3-dimensional, dose distribution affects patients’ response to radiation, alongside the integration of genetic and biological factors; 2) the development of robust quantitative imaging biomarkers to inform patient risk stratification, for example sarcopenia, with an interested in longitudinal changes in imaging biomarkers.
