About Alan Milasius

In mid-June 2023, thanks to the support of and mentoring from a number of other aviation professionals, I obtained my Airline Transport Pilot license (SEL), a goal set early in my aviation career. Before then, the aviation career took a side-step through the business world (i.e, auditing, public accounting, banking, finance). The achievement of the ATP is now a stepping-stone in the pursuit of a more substantive aviation career and illustrates my level of commitment to the aviation industry. My goal is to unleash my ATP aviation potential, combined with my extensive business knowledge and experience, such that I can not only benefit my own personal growth but also the growth of a welcoming aviation organization. During my life and career, I have been an effective LEADER.(For example: during an international assignment for ABN AMRO Bank while still based in Chicago, of 850 global audit professionals, 4 of us outside of the "executive management committee" were privileged to lead a particular global task force. Other leadership assignments are described in the Experience section, below.) In addition, I attempt to be a role model by being an ACHIEVER.[For example:(1) passing the Certified Public Accountant exam on the first attempt while in my senior year in college and then obtaining a position with the then "Big Eight" public accounting firm of Arthur Young & Co, now Ernst & Young;(2) later, graduating with an MBA from the top business school in the USA at the time, Northwestern University; and (3), as stated above, passing the ATP practical test.] My education and professional experience provide me with extensive knowledge and vital transferrable skills to succeed across industries.(Please refer to the Skills Summary, below.) I am passionate about delivering high-quality work without hesitation. While I take my work and career very seriously, I also have a keen sense of humor adds joy and brightness to the workplace.
