About Alan Mills

I bridge an engineering background with human-centered design to turn complex needs into intuitive, scalable experiences. With over a decade of systems thinking and 7+ years as a Product/UX Designer, I’ve built engaging solutions for ed-tech and contingent staffing markets across B2B and B2C environments. Key Strengths: Translating complex requirements into elegant, inclusive design solutions Driving product-led growth through strategic UX methodologies 🧩 Bringing unique perspectives through neurodivergent insight Expertise in micro-interactions, design systems, and collaborative workshops I’m passionate about equity-focused design—ensuring accessibility, inclusion, and usability for vulnerable user groups, from those using assistive tech to individuals with diverse name structures. My goal: create software that fosters adoption, enjoyment, and trust while avoiding harm. Outside of design, I’m a lifelong learner—exploring creativity through bouldering, surfing, film photography, and music. I live in St. Augustine with my wife and son, where we’re actively involved in the special needs parent community. Let’s connect!
