About Alan Newman

Alan Steven Newman by nature and profession is a “builder”. Early academic and professional ambitions were in reconstructive surgery with a personal vision of social contribution to treat and re-construct individuals with severe physical disfigurement. Divine intervention impressed Alan to change his course of direction to that of “builder,” which directly influenced his course of career over the following years. Alan started his first small company at age 18, but shortly after chose to close his doors to serve a two year ecclesiastical mission for his church at age 19. He returned two years later to pursue a college education with initial interest in a medical career, but graduated in with a B.S. degree from Utah State University and pursued various self-employment opportunities as well as starting a furniture and design company. He married his wife of 16 years at the young age of 22 and today he is the father to six wonderful children. Alan has been actively involved in the construction industry for close to 15 years. He prides himself in being a “builder of men” and regards the building of relationships as the most important part of the construction process. Alan has had opportunity to work on some of the Wasatch back’s largest commercial projects such as the construction of the Montage at Deer Valley, Park City, Utah. His construction experience includes residential and commercial projects, varying from custom luxury homes to restaurants, data bunkers, bowling alleys, spa’s and large condo hotels. With broad shoulders, a strong work ethic and a belief in self-development, Alan has been mentored and trained to bear heavy burdens and overcome seemingly improbable challenges. When not tackling the challenges of large-scale construction, Alan enjoys waterskiing, weight training and free-lance nutrition consulting.
