About Alan Potts

With over twenty years of experience in analytical development, I lead the CMC analytical development of novel direct lytic agents for the treatment of infections at ContraFect Corp. My mission is to apply my expertise in bioassays, spectroscopy, chromatography, and pharmaceutical product development to create innovative and effective solutions for patients in need. I have a proven track record of managing complex projects, such as clinical formulation development, CMC NDA compilation and FDA PAI audit, and manufacturing process validation. I also have extensive experience in leading and mentoring teams of scientists responsible for developing and validating analytical methods for drug substance and drug product applications. I am passionate about quality and compliance, and I have implemented and improved corrective and preventive action (CAPA) systems and quality control processes in my previous and current roles. I am always eager to learn new analytical technologies and techniques, and to apply them to development, manufacturing, and problem solving.
