About Alan Purcell

I am a highly motivated Supply Chain professional with over twenty years’ experience in the discipline. In this time I have become proficient in all aspects of the Supply Chain function, from loading and unloading containers right up to negotiating multi million euro contracts with large International companies, including highly regulated state bodies in every region of the world. I have extensive experience in working with multiple ERP systems and a proven track record in using IT and BI to maximise efficiencies and drive effectiveness right across the Supply Chain. I have spent the last 15 years working in highly regulated and controlled industries and in this time I have had widespread exposure to government and regulatory bodies in all parts of the world allowing me to build my abilities in diplomacy and people management to a level where I can (and do) now deal comfortably with state departments globally in the completion of my role. I am highly qualified in this field, achieving a Diploma in Purchasing & Materials Management, Degree in Supply Chain & Transport Management and a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma as well as various other professional courses. I am currently a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport.
