I left school and joined Lloyd's Register of Shipping where I worked for 22 years. In my time there I ran an admin section which included doing yearly appraisals for the section of 12 staff. I trained as an in-house auditor, and also as a lead auditor, as the company was made up of 3 main divisions with lots of different departments and each department would be audited against working procedures each year. After Lloyd's, I temped for a year, then joined Walter Lilly & Co Limited where I spent 16 years first as a Document Controller then I joined the estimating department where I priced tenders with Bills of Quantities for about 6 years before going to a major site as Document controller for 2-3 years. I am at present working as a document controller for Synergy Property group on a project in Berkeley Square, London.
