I have worked in the HV Power construction industry since September starting as a Project Planner with ABB, I have worked on several dozen HV Turnkey Substation projects for NG and DNO's within England, Wales and Scotland. Progressing from Project Planner to Senior Planner to Planning Team Leader within ABB, and as of September 2018 with the creation of a joint venture between ABB Power Grids and SNC Lavalin, I became the Planning Lead for the Linxon UK operation. With this business later becoming a joint venture between Hitachi/ABB Power Grids and SNC Lavalin. Our business focuses on large Turnkey EPC projects such as windfarms and major HV substations for NG, DNO's and HV Windfarm and Nuclear consortium's. My duties and responsibilities include management of planning recruitment, allocation of planning resource to tenders and projects in delivery, day to day management and support of the planners with project or technical issues. As well as managing the planners, I am also hands on as required in supporting tenders, projects and claims, plus any other ad hoc requirements from senior management or problems which may arise which needs planning support.
