About Alan Schnerch

Alan is a Senior Industrial Engineer within Stantec's Buildings business line and the Industrial Engineering Practice Lead for Stantec. He specializes in the application of Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies within the context of operational improvement initiatives and industrial facilities projects through planning, design, construction, and operation. His primary goal is to help clients optimize their processes and flows, align these with existing or new facility infrastructure, and improve their organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Alan’s career has focused on operational improvement within manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and logistics, and healthcare environments. He has extensive experience as a Lean trainer and facilitator and has been actively involved in applying Lean methodologies for twenty years. He is experienced in the design and execution of technical analysis solutions involving process modeling, discrete event simulation, operations research, time & motion study, predetermined time motion systems, and warehousing optimization.
