About Alan Steppe
I am an experienced Maya and Blender Generalist, for Television and Game commercials, I have some short-film experience and a little bit of games experience. I love all aspects of animation. I love to sketch ideas, model, texture, and rig characters so that I get to animate them into life. Props, environments, hard surface models are also fun for me. I especially enjoy modeling toys/inflatables/architecture in Rhino3d which I have used since it's first beta release. Both 2D and 3D are in my skill set. I like to work smart, and knowing the entire process of producing a full animation helps me to make characters that deform properly, can be animated real-time and are easy to use. My graphic design, illustration and concept art background is a great basis for doing anything artistic. I have a mechanical inclination that helps when making technically exacting work that is produced in real life and not just on screen.
