Alan graduated from the Duke University School of Law, where he was Executive Editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law. He received his undergraduate degree in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia. Alan is a native New Yorker who began his legal career practicing in Simpson Thacher’s M&A and Private Equity group. He later joined the technology law group at Kramer Levin before founding a venture capital accelerator specializing in the early-stage financing of high-growth technology companies. Prior to founding his own firm, Alan was a Director, Senior Executive Recruiter and Managing Partner for three highly regarded recruiting firms. He has placed partners, associates and in-house counsel into law firms, hedge and private equity funds, entertainment companies, sports leagues, investment banks and corporations in New York, around the United States and in major global financial centers. Alan has been called upon by the City Bar, Duke University Law School, Emory School of Law and the University of Virginia Alumni Association to counsel students and alumni of all levels on career development and job search strategies.
