As a General Service/Area Manager with substantial operations leadership also having extensive experience driving growth, spearheading turnarounds and assembling high-performing teams for top-tier construction equipment employers in the UK and Australia, I am committed to developing dedicated, professional and best-practice working environments that deliver against commercial objectives. My expertise includes substantial involvement in transforming disorganised, demotivated or loss-making environments – there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing my ideas effect the right kind of change across people and operations, stimulating growth in sales, servicing and warranty.Much of my success has come from an in-depth understanding of heavy line construction equipment, after having built my career from the ground up, with a long period running my own mechanical lift equipment business in the UK. I also have sharp instincts for getting the best out of people, using flexible communication to secure buy-in and applying a creative approach to problem-solving and process improvement. I’ve established some exceptional groups of up to 40 people over the years, facilitating productive working dynamics with diversity and inclusionary best practices, as well as implementing structured career development frameworks to consolidate effective succession planning and staff engagement. Career highlights include leading record-breaking levels of profitability, safety and customer satisfaction as Regional Manager at Konecranes, turning around the Victoria region from loss to substantial profit in under 7 years. Since then I’ve realised profit growth for Konecranes in Queensland, over-achieved against target for Engie in Victoria and driven 50% revenue growth in under a year for JCB CEA in Brisbane.
